上海浦东位于巴斯夫浦东生产基地的巴斯夫应用化工有限公司(BACC)于1994年成立，A3WG10代理商，2000年起成为巴斯夫的全资生产企业。公司生产工程塑料和特种化学品如氨基树脂、颜料前体、冷冻剂、皮革与纺织助剂和分散体。2007年6月，巴斯夫在BACC旁新建了一家聚氨酯特种产品生产基地：巴斯夫聚氨酯特种产品（中国）有限公司，运营着一个聚氨酯组合料厂、一个技术研发中心和一个热塑性聚氨酯（TPU）生产装置。浦东基地即将成为新的亚太创新科技园和巴斯夫大中华区总部办公室所在地。工程已于2010年12月投入建设，A3WG10，预计将在2012年上半年启用。扩建后的浦东基地将成为巴斯夫的生产基地之一，员工总数将超过2000人。上海化学工业区（位于金山区漕泾镇）巴斯夫与亨斯迈及几家中方伙伴共同兴建了两家合资企业。MDI和TDI是生产聚氨酯的重要原材料，用于汽车工业和建筑业以及冰箱、家具被覆材料、床垫和鞋类等产品中。这个项目投资总额为10亿美元，并已于2006年中期投产。同样位于该园区的巴斯夫化工有限公司（BACH）系2002年成立的巴斯夫全资子公司，50纤A3WG10，BACH生产的聚四PolyTHF）以及聚异（Basonat）主要面向涂料和家具油漆行业，以及针对汽车尾气催化剂的贵金属解决方案。PolyTHF是生产弹性纤维的重要原材料，多用于运动服、泳装及新型服饰的制造。
